The theme for this year’s Maison & Objet trade fair

House of Games

Spread the word that TB Groupe will be showcasing its French knives this September in Paris for the 2016 Maison & Objet trade fair! The event’s organizers have announced this year’s original theme: House of Games.

Vincent Grégoire collaborated with the members of the Observatoire Maison & Objet to brainstorm and create this year’s theme for M&O, which is centred on ambiance and lifestyle. This theme or universe “marks the revival of a new baroque style and the dandy which put an emphasis on fantasy, bringing a new twist and charm.”

How will the areas be organized? The overall space will consist of three giant boxes that represent three different “game universes” that will be divided into creative, playful and lively sections.

Visitors will be able to follow a path that allows them to wander through, observe and discover the objects on display in an exhibit that "reflects old-fashioned cabinets of curiosities or wonder-rooms." The organizers paid special attention to the decoration, which is dominated by materials used in the 19th century. Prepare yourself for a unique stroll through taffeta, velour, satin, lacquer and much more.

There will be two guests of honor: Ilse Crawford - creator of the year and the Ateliers de Paris (Workshops of Paris), which will be celebrating its second year in existence.

TB Groupe, the number one knife seller in France, is pleased to participate in this year’s Maison & Objet trade fair.

TB Groupe: the “Made in France” cutlery company and culinary arts!

A quickly growing sector

Cutlery is associated not only with the design and creation sectors but also with the culinary arts sector. This sector has undergone profound changes over the past few years due to the fact that it has reinvented itself to be above and beyond simple examples such as wedding lists, which are a good example of a branch of this sector that has been dominant for a very long time.

Today the culinary arts have developed with the aim of adapting to a modern and diversified clientele that is searching for original objects and trending items.

TB Groupe’s main goal is to innovate new products while respecting the historical values that brought French-made cutlery from the Thiers region a success. TB Groupe has a 21st century mind set in that it produces items according to the needs of its loyal customers.

TB Groupe’s managers, its R&D department and designers knew how to create new ways of operating that blend knife manufacturing with aesthetics and culinary arts. In other words, they have created a successful marriage between professional and high-quality creations and seductive designs that glean inspiration from a wide variety of influences. The Laguiole Evolution collection is a perfect illustration this company leitmotif.
